I currently have a system to be used in the UK, can anyone tell me if the system will or will not communicate and if not why? As I said the system is currently in the UK and when trying to settle a transaction it says unable to connect to internet, however it does have internet and the pc itself can connect to the web. Any suggestions will help, Thanks.

Are you using Microsoft POS or Microsoft Retail Management System (RMS)? The MS POS is not released in the UK and does not support VAT etc... Microsoft RMS does. If you want to talk about it call me at my office 020
8907 6900We are using MS RMS and have used it in the US and Munich without a problem, however we went to the UK this past week and the software is saying that it cannot connect to the internet when we try to verify any credit card. I have already checked and there is an established internet connection. I don't know why this system would not work in the UK on a wide open dedicated line when it has worked every other place we have used it. Thanks in advance for your help.

It may be something with the setup locally. If you want we would be glad to take a ook at this. Please cntact me by email so I can call you and discuss this. Also I assumeyou know that in UK you shoud use a local Credit Card provider to get advantage of lower rates by usingte Chip & Pin technology.
