REPORTS: Sales vs. Tender -- difference ???

How do you define what is a Tender report? Better yet, what is the difference between the Detailed Sales Report and the Miscellaneous/Tender report?

The numbers are always different and completely off... Shouldn't they be exactly the same?

Sales represent the product portion of the sale only, not Tax or Shipping. Tenders represent it all.

I think it has been determined that there is a rounding issue as well as RMS stores taxes with mor than 2 decimal place for some reason.

Actually it is not about the rounding or small difference. The differences are VERY big... That is why I am trying to understand what each report represents because I cannot figure out the problem.

To amplify this problem, I ran both Sales and Tender reports for all of 2006 and the difference was off by more than 20%. This is huge...

Any help in understanding an reconciling this would be highly appreciated.

OK. Then here is the twist of this whole thing... the TENDER report is actually less, yes, 20% less than the SALE report for the entire year. How can that be? Shouldn't TENDER be larger just by definition?

"Jeff @ Check Po> Zorian,

not on a sales report. They're not sales yet.
