rms 2.0 matrix hangs

The RMS 1.3 ItemClassComponent (matrix) table of one of our client contains



11,800 records. We upgraded the software and database to version 2.0. After the upgrade (now with Dimension Attributes!), the matrix screen loads after
20 minutes! And when you click the OK button after adding an existing Item to the matrix, the application hangs. We waited for over an hour and nothing happened. Does Microsoft have a solution or hotfix for this problem? Thank you.

If I recall there was a hotfix to help this issue.

That is only the beginning, however. I spent MONTHS trying to get them to fix the databasge upgrade script for matrix items, but they didn't deem it a priority. So much for a support plan. Once you get the loading issue solved, you will notice that many of your matrix items will be all jacked up.

I would complain.. strength in numbers..

I dont know if there is any documentation regarding the loading issue, but after the SP1 and the second hotfix thereafter, things were better for us.

You may want to check the attributes to ensure the codes match up.
