I am getting run-time error 339 when trying to create a new item, Has anyone else experienced this. What can be causing this error?

you probably need to reindex since taking out the closed stores from the itemdynamic table.

thank Matt, but this is a separate situation. This is happening at a standalone store no HQ. any other suggestions

reindexing is still a good idea. You might need to figure out what part of the process of adding the item is hanging up. The tables that get changed are: item, alias, and supplierlist. See if any of these have entries from your recent add attempt, or try to insert a record manually to see what the problem is.
