I have imported a 45,000 item data base. I then imported Alias. After the import, I noticed that about half of the Alias had a "space period" at the end of the Alias. After I checked the ascii file I found they were there and I missed them. In SQL I ran "Delete Item" along with deletions for class, classdepartment, serial, voucher, kit. All items were successfully deleted. I then imported the database again and then the alias. I set duplicates create errors. All errored out on import. So apparently the Alias Table was not deleted. Any suggestions on how to delete the item alias'? Ultimately I restored a backup, cleaned up the Alias' in Excel and made everything work, but a 20 min. task turned into 4 hours. I would like to have this ilnformation in my file.
