As long as the info on the mag stripe isn't longer than the max number of spaces allowed for account number it shouldn't be a problem. To make sure it would work; create a fake customer account and, using your own drivers license, point to the account number field and swipe your card to see if it will populate the account number field. If it does, save the account and open up a new sale in POS, bring up the customer accounts, make sure your pointed to the account number field, and swipe your drivers license. It should bring up the fake account, if it does you're good to go in using them for account numbers. One more thing, you may want to open notepad and swipe your license there first, just to see what might be getting inputted. If it's got a lot more characters, like dashes and slashes, than just letters and numbers, you may want to reconsider.
