i use a report for checking hours. the hours are shown in military time. is there a way to change it to regular time?

What report are you using?
In any case, I believe that is determined by your Windows settings -
Control Panel/ Date, Time,Language, and Regional Options/ Regional and Language Options
On the Regional Options Tab, look at the Time sample - if it shows military time there, click the customize button to adjust.
