To all New Installations be careful on your install As I have discovered the hard way. POS 2009 on Domain Controller Not Supported. Forget about using SBS 2008 or SBS 2003 or even Win2003 as a domain controller. It simply does not work and you will get errors trying to create database and will fail on creating user accounts. No resolution in site. Problem reported in Sep 2009 and stills no resolution on this and also weather it will be supported on a domain controller. Needless to say it is disappointing as most small business will go for SBS platform for low cost features, but now you may need a separate server or install Win2008 or 2003 but not setup a domain where you lose all the other benefits ...

Not only will it not work on a DC, but as far as I can tell, it isn't even domain aware. It has no idea how to work with a Windows network. When you install it, it creates local Windows accounts for your users. And you have to re-create those those local Windows accounts on each separate system that will run the software. Oh, and I think they have to have admin priveledges. Same users, same passwords, admin rights, on each machine, and no domain awareness.
Huge dissapointment.
