_But_ to make a sales and utilize both devices, you also have to be looking at screen to see what you are ringing up. Again, to use a inexpensive wireless laptop that uses the RMS program without _any_ add-ins and is a reliable, inexpensive solution. You can use it for sales, stock take, price checks, anything that you can do at a wired station for the same or _less_ than the PDA and software combined.

Dell, HP, Gateway and others are selling inexpensive laptops for $500, add a $70 USB swipe and a $100-300 scanner.

Otherwise for a ~$800 PDA and $500 for the add-in software, you still can _only_ do sales and lookups. To do everything else, you have to spend another $500 for as much functionality as the ~$800 laptop solution!
