Handheld scanners

Oct 27, 2006 2 Replies

I was wondering if I could get some suggestions on hand held scanners that work with RMS, we don't need anything really fancy just something we can walk around our store with and do a physical inventory with and bring back to the docking station and upload all of the items. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

There are several handheld scanners that will work - I have a Symbol MC50. I'm assuming you want a wireless solution by your desire to "walk around". THe MC50 will need software that interfaces with RMS - I'm not endorsing this link, but they offer something:

You can also get a long-range bluetooth type handheld scanner. I've got a Wasp that will scan up to 150 ft away from the base. But make sure you use the keyboard wedge interface - it's just much, much easier to setup on the system.

Good Luck.

2B-Inventory allows you to walk around the store, perform a physical inventory, and then bring back to a docking station and upload into RMS. It integrates directly with RMS. For more information, visit
