We split up our store in a whole bunch of small sections for physical inventory purposes. We perform our physical inventory count for each small section. After that an auditor will get a print out of the batch (done outside of RMS since we want to keep the scanned items in their original order and not grouped by ILC) and will go through each sections in the same order as the original person scanned that section to verify and make adjustments, if necessary, to the original batch (this is done in RMS). When all the small sections have been scanned and audited we want to make a Master Batch (entire store batch) which contains all the smaller batches and calculate and commit it to inventory.
Any suggestions on how to handle this since there is no build-in way in RMS to handle this? How do other large stores handle this?
We can not do a department, category or supplier physical inventory count since all our products are to spread out and mixed up for that to work.
If no (easy) solution for the above does somebody have a SQL query to accomplish the above?
