Scanners for Inventory

Hi Erin,

There are lots of scanners out there, What is it you want them to do? just for inventory or do you want to be able to create PO's with them and do inventory. or?

We will only need the scanner for inventory. Right now our scanner is able to scan merchandise in large bulks and upload it to our PC. We review the files and alter it before uploading the new inventory counts to RMS. We would like something similar, maybe a little more high tech with a large LCD screen, and something that doesn't break every other inventory. We would like to have 4 scanners, but I guess this is all dependent upon price.

We use the Optimus-R there are 2 versions of the optimus the regualr version and the ruggedized version(-R). its a laser batch scanner and we rent them out or sell them when a customer requests. Not sure how large of screen you are looking for but the optimus has a 2-3 inch wide x 1.5 inch tall screen. the test in the screen also can be set to different sizes as well.

Most of the larger screens then this you are moving into a windows mobile device. Any questions let me know

We are using the Optimus as one of our scanner too. The only thing I do not like about it is the low beep volume. It is hard to hear scans in a noisy environment and is not adjustable, nor does it have a headphone jack. It is fast & reliable, a good scanner for the price.
