Hey there,
Is that true? I need to change the Type, but it seems that once you've assigned the Type as Inventory, and/or used it in a transaction, you can't change the Type to Non-Inventory.
If someone could confirm this, or knows of a work-around, I sure would be glad to hear it!

I confirm.
No work-around.
The only workaround I found is to create another item with the same characteristics and a slightly different name that is the non-inventory type. Then go back to every transaction that used the old inventory type and change it to the new item at the same price. This will keep your bookkeeping correct. Then you can delete the inventory type. Of course this only works if the history of the inventory type does not go back into years that the information was reported to Uncle Sam.
