I have inadvertently listed quite a few part as inventory, and Quickbooks complains that I do not have enough on hand to sell.
How do I do a (hopefully global) change from inventory to non-inventory.
Edit Item does not let me change the Type...

Can't do it. Inventory part to non-inventory part is not allowed.
You can turn off the warning message about low inventory.
Depending on how many parts you created improperly, you might want to just stop using the old, and re-create new non-inventory parts.
