ageing not accurate

hello group.

sicne i upgraded to QB pro 2006, my statements are not reflecting accurate ageing. ie: normally, all transactions incurred in the current month used to reflect in the "current" field, now, antying that's older than 1 day, is showing as 1-31 days past due.

how can i correct this? i tried changing the preferences "ageing from due date, or invoice date" but they neither one of those 2 choices make any difference in my statements.

please help! thanks! Dave.

Check the due date for the offending invoices. If they are 'due on receipt' then yes, anything older than 1 day will show as 1-31 days past due. Switching the preference to use 'due date' as opposed to 'invoice date' will not help in that case, as both dates will be the same.

Thanks for the reply. All my customes are setup Net 30 days. The interesting thing, is that everything reported fine until I upgraded from QB Pro 2003 to 2006. There are now NO balances in the current feild for ANY of my customers who's balances are older than 1 day, regardless of the preferences on ageing from "due date" or "invoice date". Is there anything else it could be?

Thanks for all your help. Dave.

I have not a clue.

I would re-check the preferences and defaults.

Even though your customer's are set up as net 30, is it perhaps possible that somehow, you are creating invoices that are 'due on receipt'?

If not, then there should definitely be a difference when running ageing reports based on "due date" or "invoice date".

Possibly something broken in the new version.
