I accidently assigned an alias to the wrong Other Name during an import of transactions for a bank account. How can I reassign that alias so that it points to the correct Other Name to facilitate correct automated import?

Top reason for not responding to a usenet post - not knowing the answer..
Seriously, I am currently using the 2003 version - we will be installing
2006 within the next two weeks.Although I do use the import function (for credit cards, not banking) I have no clue as to what you mean when you say you assigned an alias during an import.
Somewhere I know I saw a list of aliases. Obviously if there is a list, there is a delete. Try the lists menu and if not there try the help file.
Like GCG I remembered seeing a way to manage aliases but have struck out finding it in QB. The help file is unhelpful and searching support online at QB.com was even more unhelpful. I did find the answer in the archives of the Online Community at QB.com though.
While there's no master alias list (something that Intuit needs to fix pronto) you *can* manage/delete aliases per vendor. Using the Vendor List or Vendor Center edit the vendor in question. On the Additional Info tab, at the very bottom, is a button titled Manage Aliases.
I think your only option is to delete the alias from the wrong vendor and then next time it pops up just assign it correctly. I didn't see an option for reassignment using that button.
