Can any one recommend an add-on for clothing distributors. We sell each style in multiple sizes and would prefer to enter transactions like this.
where the number sequence is small, med, large, x-large, xx-large. But the catch is, we would want to track inventory by size. So depending on the product, the column values may change to xxl-3xl-4xl etc. Apparently, this is how the apparal industry has standardized their order forms.

The POS system that I work with has the capability of doing this, so I am sure there are other programs that can do it. Actually this program might work just fine for you. This particular program works by creating an initial inventory item, 1100 Sweat Grey, and then you create a product variant that has all the sizes you might want to inventory/sell. You can sell by item code, and it prompts for the size and/or color (multiple variants per item). This system does sales and inventory outside of QuickBooks, and you just transfer end of day info. Also will keep track of inventory by FIFO, LIFO, or avg cost (QB only does average)
