Inventory count date error

when clicking on Calculate after counting items for an inventory we get an error that says: "Invalid count date. In order to continue, items must not have count dates that are earlier than the physical inventory open time".

The counts are added after the inventory sheet has been opened so I know that there isn't a time issue. Thanks for your help.

Rich, in the RMS database data gets written to the PhysicalInventory table and the PhysicalInventoryEntry table when you do a physical inventory. There is a OpenTime column in the PhysicalInventory table that contains the date and time the physical inventory was first created. Then in the PhysicalInventoryEntry table there is a CountTime column that assigns a count date and time to each item of inventory that you count.

Do you have your RMS database stored on the same computer you are doing the count from? If not, my guess is that the two times are coming from two different places, one of them is determined by the clock on the computer you are performing your count on, and the other is determined by the clock on the computer where your RMS database resides.

Make sure they are in sync with each other and you shouldn't have this problem again

hth kev> Rich,

Then on the right, a new Set Dates button appears. Select something earlier than right now.
