Billable hours on Timesheet after applying to invoice

Is there a way to see old time sheet Service item hours that were billable after it's been applied to an invoice? Normally it no longer shows anywhere.

Also, how do you associate various hours from the time sheet to an invoice that was for a fixed bid. In other words my actual time may be more or less than the bid amount & I cannot itemize the billable hours on the invoice since it's fixed bid.

I have QB 2003 Pro UK and a Time by Job Detail Report shows all the recorded time, and additionally shows whether it is Billed, Unbilled or Non-billable. I don't know whether or not the same report can be obtained in QB 2000 Pro.

I would deal with the issue raised in your second question by selecting all the time covered by the invoice and clicking OK. The amount QB calculates will then differ from the fixed amount quotation but you can alter the amount on the invoice. In this way you clear the time concerned and get the right invoice amount.

Ken,

That report does the job giving me Time detail I need.

On the second issue, this is the best one can do. It's hard to adjust the uneven amount since it's kind of a workaround. Really wish intuit would create some way of accounting for this better. it must happen all the time to companies that invoice like mine.

Thanks

I agree. I have often wished for a way to mark time as 'billed' for fixed bid jobs.
