I sent an invoice to a customer, and cannot find the note I sent with it? Where is it located?
Thanks in advance

Look in your top draw on the left.
Do you mean that you can't find the copy of the e-mail under cover of which you sent the invoice? If you are in the US and you use the QB e-mail server, I believe that you don't get to keep a copy. In future, send a blind copy to yourself. If you're in a country where you don't use the QB server, you'll find a copy in the Outlook Sent Messages Folder or whatever e-mail program you use.

Other than that the only other alternative in QuickBooks is to cc (or in

What kind of an audit trail/record are you looking for in QuickBooks? Do you send multiple revisions of the same transaction to the same customer? Do you need to keep track of contract type information? Or are you just trying to keep straight what transactions were sent to what customer at what time? Do you need to know when a customer actually views the sent item? Do you need them to be able to interact with the item? (make corrections, or handle bid/counterbid type situations, make a payment etc.?)
I'm just curious.
