Dealing with two financial years at once

This is the problem I'm facing with a nonprofit arts festival that has its financial year as the calendar year (for grants purposes) but makes most of its income and all its expenditure in a festival year (July to June). What's the easiest way of apportioning income and expense items to a festival year?

Change the First Month in Your Fiscal Year (Company Information) to July to print Festival Year reports, then change it back for financial purposes.

To see a Report of any period simply change the Date (appearing in the top of the report) to incorporate the relevant period. In your case in the 'From' field put '1/7/04' and in the 'To' field put '6/30/05' to see a report for the period July'04 to June'05.
