Discontinuation Policy !!

Whether you read each EULA is irrelvant. You are still held to the terms of the agreement.

You are implying that the Sunset policy has changed over time. The oldest version that I currently have installed is 2005 but I have been using the product since 2002 and the sunset policy is the same since I started using the program .

The following is from the 2005 help file as part of the license agreement:

"Termination; Sunset Policy This Agreement may be terminated by Intuit immediately and without notice if you fail to comply with any term or condition of this Agreement. Upon such termination, you must immediately destroy all complete and partial copies of the Software, including all backup copies. This Software is subject to a QuickBooks sunset or discontinuation policy ("Sunset Policy") and Intuit reserves the right to discontinue all support for the Software, and/or for any features, services or content accessible through the Software in accordance with such Sunset Policy. From time to time, Intuit may change the terms and conditions of this Agreement or the Sunset Policy. Intuit will notify you of any such change. For the latest version of this Agreement or the Sunset Policy, go to

formatting link
, or such other site designated by Intuit. Your continued use of the Software will indicate your agreement to the change."

So your claim that their discontinuing services such as payroll or online services is new is totally incorrect. It has always been the policy that added services provided Inuit will no longer work when the version is "sunsetted" has always been around.
