Export Problem

I have QB pro 2007 release 13. When I export to Excel, even with Excel closed, I get an error on Excel. I get the error as soon as I look for a file to add a report to, before actually saving to the file. Is this a common problem? The file is fine when I open it, but is quite annoying.

What is the error message and what version of excel are you using?

I am working with Excel 2007. As soon as I click Export on the report I get a generic error message, "Microsoft Office Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Excel is not even open. After clicking Send Error Report it opens a blank spreadsheet. If I happen to already have a spreadsheet open it stays open. When I just did this procedure now with Excel closed I received 2 of those same messages. I now have 2 workbooks open after clicking the error message.

I would try a repair on the excel installation. It sounds like something that connects QB and excel has become corrupt.

My usual error message is typically "application busy-retry" but never your message. This stopped when I upgraded to win7.
