FedEx Ship Manager doesn't work on weekends

Using Quickbooks Pro 2006, I create shipping labels via the Fedex Shipping manager. The problem is I am not able to print labels when working on the weekends. Even if I specify Monday as the ship day, I get one of two errors. On Saturday, I get a FedEx returned error saying "Fedex server returned error: No pickup on Saturday, Sunday, or holiday" and on Sunday, I get an error "Unable to focus window".

I contacted Intuit about this and was told to set my system date to anything other than Saturday. Of course, that didn't work.

As much as I like to take weekends off, I have a couple of home-based businesses and need to get shipments ready for Monday. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks but that's not the point. Yes, I can ship via the FedEx web site and I've done that in the past but then I have to cut and paste each line of each address to create the label vs. shipping from the sales receipt in Quickbooks. Quickbooks' shipping manager pastes the tracking # right on the receipt.

Further, I have to make sure to download and save your monthly FedEx history because they don't keep it around so now you have to use Excel to look up tracking #s. Finding an old tracking # for a particular sale is a pain. Operationally and for historical data, it's better and easier to manage everything via Quickbooks. Five days out of the week it works great.

What do you do when you have to ship USPS, DHL, UPS, Truck, Messenger and the like? We do.

As for that FedEx web site. Try going to next steps. Then find the print receipt option. Print it. Print your invoice. Use a stapler and a file cabinet, file by customer name. Problem solved.

Just how often do you have to look up tracking information that is over the limit on the online FedEx ship manager report anyway? Our clients tend to bitch about missing shipments well before that!

Yes, it is a SlowBooks bug. Welcome to Intuit.
