Hi, Where should the file be located for QuickBooks Pro 2007?

Program files should be at C:\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks
Data files are at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Intuit\Company files.
At least that's the way they recommend for windows XP. It changed when QB
2007 came out.Rod
I would think it is where ever you want it to be... At least I have made that choice (QB 2006).

Hmmm... I just tried to Open a NEW file... and it simply used the last Folder of the file I normally use. So I don't think it 'defaults' to anywhere (other than the QB install folder for the first time).

Do a backup and you'll see the new default location as previously posted.
