I use QBPOS 2.0 in a retail store and import the file once a week to my laptop where I have QB 2005 installed. To do this, I go to the Quickbooks icon and select update, then select the last month. Everything updates okay, except the the import process adds every customer again, creating a 'John Doe1' for 'John Doe' as an example. If I don't go through and delete the extra customer I get a 'John Doe2' in addition to my 'John Doe' and 'John Doe1'.
Any ideas how to update the file just once a month without doubling up the customer records?
