How Do I Get a Letter Template into QB?

Question

I want to prepare several collection letters offline in MS Word, then upload them to QB so that I can use them with the letters facility. Is that possible?

I see a folder with named letters templates in my QB2006 installation, but I don't see a QB2007 instllation. I upgraded using a physical disk that came directly from Intuit, and QB2007 appears to operate normally. Thinking that maybe all the 2007 files are in the 2006 folder, I put a letter in the templates folder but it doesn't show up in QB.

What am I doing wrong?

So is that the answer? You can't import MS Word letters prepared offline? You must be in QB and customize one of the letters already there.

OPen up the Invoice window and then select Letters>>Customize Invoice Letters template. Here you will have the option to convert an existing MS word document.

No. Re-read my last sentence: " Here you will have the option to convert an existing MS word document." Have at least tried this?

My bad. Reading quickly I took the sentence to refer to existing QB letters, rather than existing MS Word documents. I'm sure this will solve my problem. Thanks for staying with me.
