I was wondering if anyone could help

I am currently running QuickBooks Pro for the manufacturing company I work for. We are having issues printing out our Job Cost reports. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Yes. And if we knew what the issues are, we may be able to help!

Great subject if you don't want people to easily see what the problem is.

No sensible subject, no sensible explanation.

I apologize again, I do not know what more to tell you. I Can not print my JOB COST report on quick books. It will give me the job cost, I can pull the report up on the computer, but I can not get it to print a complete report out. I believe that this is pretty clear.

No, not quite sure what the problem is.

What exactly happens when you try and print the report? Any error messages? Does it only print the first page of the report? No pages print at all?

Don't tell us what the program DOESN'T do; tell us:

  1. What you WANT the program to do,
  2. What you did in an attempt to accomplish #1; and
  3. What the program ACTUALLY DID (including error messages, if any).

Do you have a valid Windows printer installed on the computer you are working on?

And to add to my previous post, are you able to print ANY report? For example, can you print a balance sheet?

Ok, you are running QuickBooks Pro.

-- Please tell us what year and version.

-- Please tell us what operating system.

Within QuickBooks, you "are having issues"

-- Please tell us what issues "printing out our Job Cost reports"

-- Please tell us what reports? (All job cost reports? or specific ones like "Job Costs by Vendor and Job Summary" or "Job Costs Detail")

You state that "I can pull the report up on the computer, but I can not get it to print a complete report out"

-- Does that mean you are able to print PARTIAL reports? If so, then what, exactly, is not printing? Are you losing the sides of the page? Are you missing pages?

-- Is the QuickBooks program giving you any error messages?

-- Is your operating system giving you an error messages?

-- Is your printer software issuing any error messages?

-- What printer do you use?

-- Are you able to print documents outside of QuickBooks?

-- Are you able to print other things within QuickBooks, such as checks, invoices and statements?

-- Are you able to print other reports within QuickBooks?

Assuming a Windows operating system, have you checked that the default printer is correct? Have you updated the drivers for your printer recently? Did the problem occur after any kind of software update?

Within QuickBooks, have you checked the printer settings for reports?

The answers to any of the above questions could help pinpoint your specific problem. Obviously, it is not necessary to know the answers to ALL the questions. Without any input from you as to the nature of the "issues" you will possibly continue "wondering if anyone could help". If you are unable or unwilling to provide information, then your next step is to contact a local consultant who can come to your business, or the psychic hotline. At this point your psychic consultant has more information than we do.

The first thing you did wrong was the subject." I was wondering if anyone could help" is not as useful as "Problem printing Job Cost reports"

Which report is it?

There's many reports about job costing in QuickBooks.

When you run the report in QuickBooks what is the printer when you press print at the top of the report?
