Is there anyway (aside from making it inactive) to prevent materials and/or labor being charged to a job? We like to keep them "active" so we can easily refer to the jobs but once "closed" we'd like to make sure charges do not get set to this jobs.

You can "close" all transactions prior to a selected date, but there is no other way.
