Merchant Accounts Cardnet Etc Crap Reporting

Jul 07, 2010 3 Replies

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help me. I have a Cardnet Merchant Account that settles into my Lloyds Current Account every 3-5 days.

At any one time there may be between £0.00 and £10,000 waiting to settle.

So my simple question is: HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT THE RUNNING BALANCE IS THAT IS BEING HELD IN MY MERCHANT ACCOUNT ON A PARTICULAR DAY?

Best Regards

Does your Cardnet have a website that you can log into so that you can see your transactions?

Unless Cardnet interfaces with Quickbooks there is no way to use QB to check your balance. This is one advantage to using the Intuit Merchant service. I can see the exact status of any credit card transaction process through that service.

Lloyds CardNet say that they are "just a transaction clearing account" and as such do not have to provide a running balance.

This would appear to be the case with all UK Merchant account reporting.

No wonder the UK is always in some sort of financial crisis

Thanks anyway.
