What's stopping you?

Do it.

Me, is stopping I I thuoght I could only install it onto one computer at a time.

Well maybe you could get a little more technical about this. Like uninstall it in the old computer, will I need the disk in the drive? OK Like you are saying just start the unstall and it walk me thur it ? Thanks Wayned

There is no QuickBooks procedure required involving the QB CD.

1. Run QuickBooks update on the old computer and open the data file to ensure that everything is at the latest revision level.
2. Using QuickBooks, backup the data on the old computer to a CD or flashdrive.
3. Using the QuickBooks CD, install the software on the new computer and run update.
4. Copy the data to the new computer. The easiest way is to restore the backup you made in 2 above.
5. Ensure that everything is working properly on the new computer.
6. Remove the program from the old computer using Add/Remove Programs (Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs in Windows XP).

Note:

The previous procedure will backup your data file. It will NOT backup any customized forms (invoices, statements, etc). Additional work is required to copy these if you have any. Be sure EVERYTHING is working correctly before deleting the old computer's information.

If your issue is that the old computer died and you did as you should have done a daily backup, then obviously only steps 3 & 4 are available. All still is kosher with your license. You may have a step 7 where you need to contact Intuit to register the new computer under the old license.
