QB Pro 2007
Anyone else getting an error message when attempting to "Open Previous Company?"
I was hoping this would be fixed with the recent update.

Anyone else getting an error message when attempting to "Open Previous Company?"
I was hoping this would be fixed with the recent update.
We were hoping you would let us know what the error message says.
"An error occurred when QuickBooks tried to access the company file. Please try again. If the problem persists, contact Intuit Technical Support and provide them with the following error codes: (-6000, -80)."
Am I the only one having this problem? "Open Previous Company" worked fine in 2006.
Joanne
It doesn't sound like it has anything to do with "Open Previous Company" but that QB2007 cannot open a QB 2006 file, possibly? Have you ever opened this file before in QB2007?
Gary
Yes. All files in the list of "previously opened files" are using 2007 and have been updated for the latest program update.
As you know, this list can be set for the number of previously opened files you want to see. I have mine set for the maximum number of 20.
What is interesting to me is that the file I was working on yesterday opened from the "OPC" drop-down list of 20 but the ones accessed prior to it would not.

I think its your installation as no one else seems to have this problem. Uninstall, reboot, reinstall, update QB then try working in it.

Thank you, Tara.
If this isn't an issue for anyone else, that's the solution.
