Error 1328

Hello,

I have QB Pro 2006 Release R6P. A while back, QB notified me of an update with the option to install now or later (and does so everytime I open the program). When the message originally appeared, I opted to install later. When the time came, I chose install now and received the error:

"Error 1328. Error applying the patch to file c:\config.msi\PT6A.tmp. It has probably been updated by other means and can no longer be modified by this patch. Fo more information, contact your patch vendor."

My options are 'Abort', 'Retry' or 'ignore'. I generally abort, the installer cleans up after itself and exits.

Attempting to update via installing the manual update ends in the same result.

I am unable to find this error on QB's website. Any ideas? I'm trying to run it in Vista RC1, and while it seems to run fine when run as admin, it won't DL transactions. I'm hoping the patch may help resolve this.

Thanks, Hark

Running a repair install and then answering 'Yes' to the QB start up Update dialog resolved the issue.
