Basically, Quickbooks ignores your preferences and uses MM/DD/YY to display dates in reports and in files exported to Excel.

Was there an update to fix this?

thanks Vahe

You should take a look at your Windows Preferences for date & time display. QB takes is "preferences" from that. If you look at the month/day order when making your entries in various journals, it probably is the same as the order on the reports.

Go to Settings: Control Panel: Regional and Language Options. Select your language and country settings there. There will be a default setting for date format. If you are in the US, but want the European/Metric/Canadian date format, click on the Advanced button next to the language drop down box. Click on the Date tab, and select your date format there. Click Apply.

This will change the settings for all your programs to use the same date format.
