QuickBooks won't allow customer IDs with @ symbol

My business credit card use email addresses for the login. This is the same as what must be used in the QuickBooks Online Banking Center to download transactions. However, each time I hit the Next button to go to the next screen in the setup wizard nothing happens...no error, it just doesn't go. If I remove the @ symbol then it allows me to proceed but of course QuickBooks can't access the transactions because the customer ID is now incorrect without the @ symbol part of the email address!

Is there any way to force QuickBooks to let me use the email address Customer ID or am I out of luck with being able to download transactions into QuickBooks from this credit card?

Sadly they don't support web connect, but they do support direct download from within QuickBooks.
