Raise Prices?

Aug 10, 2005 4 Replies

Hi All, first of all I know very little about QB-pro and I use Quicken. My friend uses QB-Pro and has about 40 products he sells. He would like to go up on his prices 5 percent. Now he is updateing each product separately.

Question 1: Is there a function that will increase all products X percent.

Question 2: If it's not too difficult, how. Thanks

You didn't say what version or country you are in, that always helps. In my QB2003 US, in the Item/Service list is an option under the activities button to "Change Item Prices" It allows for a percentage increase or individual, by service, inventory, non-inventory. Pretty useful, he ought to try it.

Gary,

This won't change the prices on memorized transactions will it? Is there any way to change those, other than invoice by invoice?

Mark

Hey Mark,

Sorry this only affects the item list. Memorized transactions would have to be manually edited. I know of no way to automatically update memorized transactions. Hope you don't have a lot.

Gary
