Remote Connections

Nov 09, 2005 1 Replies

The accounting firm for a customer uses UltraVNC to log on to the server remotely. It has several advantages for them over Remote Desktop in terms of being able to work collaboratively and transfer files easily. However, sometimes after they work and log off the login screen is grayed out and they can't log back on. If the server (2003) is re-started then the screen works fine. However, this is impossible during the day when employees are using the server. It seems to happen only after they have been remotely using QuickBooks.

Anyone have any idea what is causing this behavior and how to fix it? Thanks, John

Use Terminal Server.
