Totals in The Quantiity Columns

No, it's not.

I assumed the question was about Invoices because of the reference to "templates". I think Jeff assumed reports, despite the reference to "templates". Reports are easily exported to Excel (from QB Pro and Premier, not Basic); exporting Invoices and other transactions is not as straightforward.

I want both my Orders and Invoices to show unit quantities. Not the reports.

Then you have your answer, you cannot total the Qty column on QB orders and invoices. You can look into 3rd-party invoicing add-on products or another accounting program. Any more questions, it might also be helpful if you specify which version and edition. It will probably be assumed that you are in the US if you don't specify otherwise.
