How to track product sales by discount ?

May 09, 2005 4 Replies

We offer different discounts on each product and need to track individual product sales by discount.

We considered assigning a different part number for each discount but don't like that solution.

Is there anyway to produce a report monthly or quarterly or whenever...

For the previous period... Product A discounted 10% sold X units Product A discounted 20% sold Y units Product A discounted 25% sold Z units

thanks for any help.

Feeding on the public trough again?

HI Will

Activate the 'Class' feature, if not already so, by going to Edit>

Preferences> Accounting and then checking on 'Use class tracking'. Create different 'Class' for each product and discount, say for "Product A discounted 10% " create a Class "Product A -10%". Whenever you view a report in the 'Columns' field select 'Class'.

Ah, now I see what is happening here. He is a different Will!!! I post here about once or twice a month, not more. The other Will who has been posting every few days is a different person.

The last time I checked, there was more than one person with my first name on the North American Continent. Probably you should learn to read usenet headers and trace the system of origin.

Will, Smill, it doesn't make any difference.
