Using Find in lists

I'll readily admit the Find function in QB continues to befuddle me. That said, can you use Find to search within the item list? If so, I'd like to do a search in the description of items within the item list. How would I go about that?

SlowBooks isn't a word processor. Its find works like a find should in a financial program. The find you want to do isn't anything to do with finding transactions, which is what find is for.

Export the list to Excel and do your word match find there!

Hi Steve!

If you have QuickBooks 2007, you have the option to install Google Desktop. Google Desktop works just like Google (except for your desktop - hence the name!), so you can do a "find" for an item with Google Desktop.

Good luck! Amy
