Which version of Quickbooks? & SDK

I do not have Quickbooks and am considering it. Will it do the following?

1) set up client accounts
2) add deposits to those accounts
3) periodically disburse money from a client account
4) do all this online
5) have all money be actually held in one business bank account;

i.e., the sum of the balance of all clients should equal the balance in the one bank account.

Finally, can I automate this whole thing with rules (i.e., don't allow a disbursement if the client account doens't have enough money in it).

What product, if any, is right for me. I am a programmer so I could use the SDK with a front end to it. Thanks

The online version of QB can only be modified by Intuit. Perhaps you can hack into their servers and incorporate your rules. Good luck stay in touch.

QB Online Edition is accessible via the QuickBooks SDK since version 4.0. See the bottom of this page:

True, but can the user modify any of the basic business rules built into the product such as not allowing overdrafts?

I should also add the the OP appears to want to use QB for keeping track of trust accounts, similar to those set up in legal offices. I am quite certain this can be done in all flavors of QB.
