New User on Quicken: Credit Card shows $0 Balance and no transactions

I'm a MS Money user considering jumping to Quicken. I just turned on access to my bank, and am to see all of my checking and savings accounts, balances are correct, and transactions are downloading correctly.

On my credit card, however, it sees the account, syncs with it, but the balance is shown as $0 (it's much more than, unfortunately) and no transactions are downloaded.

Checked MS Money today, and it is downloaded the same account fine. Checked my Yodlee, and it is downloading transaction and balances there correctly.

Any help appreciated.

I know that my Chase business credit cards are finicky about which "master" account number I choose to download into Quicken. If you tell us your financial institution, and which credit card, somebody may have the same type of account and offer more specific help.

Well, back in May, John Pollard posted about NFCU not supporting Express Web Connect. Maybe he'll have something specific for you. Good luck,

Indeed I did.

I have since learned that NFCU has recently relented ... at least for certain types of accounts - in my case for Share and MM accounts, but not Certificate accounts (and at least for Q2008 ... sorry, I can't be more specific).

I no longer have a credit card with NFCU, so I can't verify whether NFCU's changed policy affects their credit card accounts. I do know that credit card downloads often get different treatment by fi's than other account types.

I suggest the op call NFCU and ask them specifically about Express Web Connect downloads for credit card accounts.

Thanks, I saw your emails earlier on Quicken Community and posted there as well. Hopefully other NFCU users will reply there.

I'm not sure how quicken works, but with MS Money, it setup up a parallel account on MoneyCentral, which did the accessing via an intermediary, Yodlee. When I fire up Money, it pulled the data from MoneyCentral. I don't believe NFCU ever dropped MS Money.

I will call them Monday.
