2007p "Warning: The amount of disk space on drive C is very low..."

Tried to add an item to Quicken Home Inventory. Program won't let me because of the above error message. I have almost 60gigs of hard drive space & am following the same procedure I have used w/prior versions >Click on inventory item in qkn 07p > Property & Debt > Home Inventory Manager. HIM comes up with this error message. This is not the first time I have received the message under different circumstances & have read where this has also happened to others. Needs to be fixed

I am having the same problem but when I check Ok the warning box goes away and the QHI progrman starts up. I can then add items and update Quicken. But I wish the warning would not come up in the first place as I also have 60 gigs of space available.

Have you , or do you run the disk utilities in windows, namely , "Defrag", and "Disk Repair"? Might try those, if you haven't (many folks dont know they even exist!) To do these, Left click "My Computer, then Left Click your hard drive (usually "c"), and then left click "Properties". Now left click (these refer to your mouse buttons) "Error Checking", and let it run, to check for errors on your hard drive (may take quite a while) and then do the same for "Defragmenting". Also,if memory serves there is a update for the windows system regarding to your memory recognization. THOSE windows updates are reached at:

I run Diskeeper Professional Ver 9 automatically every day. I also check for errors on my hard drive frequently. Neither one of these items are the cause of the error message.

Yes, both have been run -- that is not the problem; also I have the computer set to notify when there are win xp patches so that is not the issue. Turns out I can also manually enter the new item after clicking ok but prior versions of qkn would ask if you wanted to enter the item that you had clicked on to the qhi & then if answered yes the item name, price, date purchased & store where purchased are automatically entered using the qkn info. Because of the error message this does not occur.

This came up in another topic ("quicken home inventory"). One thought is that the old Home Inventory program, being a 16-bit app may not like the XP NTFS partition, causing the message.

That said, I'm running an NTFS partition on Windows 2000 and using Q06 and don't have an issue, so don't know which part of this (if any) is responsible ... WinXP NTFS, Q07, alignment of the stars ... ; )

Using winxp on NTFS partition w/q'07p. Actually, I do have the new home inventory manager on this computer (not that fond of it). Qkn 06p would open either the old or the new with no error message, 07p gives an error message when attempting to open the new him & closes him; it still works independently from qkn.
