Edit price history. Delete the offending dates.

Well, duh, if you keep doing a "Download historical prices" it's going to keep downloading the same info (or, absence of info, if you prefer).

I believe that one definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over and expecting the results to change.

Well duh if I knew how to download prices without getting the entire history, I wouldn't have posted this, would I ? Must be cool to be a smart guy like you.

In the "Investing Center", just below the words "INVESTING CENTER" are

2 links. "Download Quotes" and "Download Historical Prices".

It takes a very special type of idiot to keep downloading historical prices when they're obviously NOT what are wanted. And a even BIGGER IDIOT to not have consulted the help built into Quicken for a problem that's so easily solved.

Doesn't it "take a very special type of idiot " to berate all whose experience does not mirror yours. I posted a year or 2 ago re: clicking on "Download Quotes" NOT "Historical Prices" & receiving a message after the quote download that historical prices were now being downloaded. I did, at that time, check all settings & I definitely DID NOT have anything checked that indicated I wanted historical prices. I gave up & decided to live with this "feature." I would guess that the op's experience is similar to mine.

You fail to note that the OP was, by his own description, doing the same thing repeatedly.

Making mistakes is human. Not learning from them is stupid.

Hey asshole I don't have a "d-load historical prices" link in my version, you pathetic troll. That's not the method I use to d-load prices. But this thread is no longer about a quicken issue - I can figure out some way to work it out.

Read the posts - this guy has a history of ridiculing and insulting anyone who posts on this group for assistance. Get a life you lonely, pathetic scumbag. Take your caps lock key and stick it.

There's nothing in my contract (what contract?) that says I have to be nice.

In fact, OP's that reference their Q version & release, show they've made an effort to remedy the situation, who describe the steps they've taken to get to the situation, what they expected, and what outcome was actually reached -- in detail -- get significant help.

Those who demonstrate atrocious grammar (I'm NOT tallking about minor spelling errors), who place ALL the blame on Quicken (not acknowledging any responsibility on their own part) or threaten to switch to MS Money (who cares) will be met with the harrassment that they so richly deserve.

I also note, with much satisfaction, that no one else has responded with any advice on your situation. Have you considered that others believe you to be a buffoon also?
