401K Company match in 2004

Upgrade from Q2003 to Q2004. Won't upgrade to Q2005 or later unless Intuit change their position on the QIF issue, but that's for another thread.

I can't stand this "dumbing down" of the product. To add a transaction to an investment account, must now use the form entry. I can no longer just add the transaction in the register.

To my real question/issue, WIth Q2003, I added the Company match as MiscInc with a scheduled group transaction linked to the memorized "miscInc" investment transaction. In 2004 that is no longer an option! Adding the MiscInc entry thast is memorized adds a tx that is not editable! The I notice all past miscinc where changed to income, not the memorize tx. OK, so I tried to memorize the new "Inc" tx, but it doesn't memorize it as an investment TX, but just a normal TX! Of course that TX doesn't work for an investment account! So I can no longer memorize an investment transaction! So I thought, OK I'll just copy thr prior tx, but to my surprise there is no copy TX function for an investment account! I guess my only option is to go back to 2003.

This will be my last purchase of Quicken. I have been a loyal Q user since version 3 or 4 in the early 90's, upgrading every other year, but no longer. Loved the product until now! When I can no longer D/L tx through direct or web connect with 2003 (next year?), I will find a new product!
