Using Q 2002 and have an Account Name I'd like to change. I foolishly set up name as 2002 Budget and I'd rather have Profit or Loss as name. I know I can delete the Account but would rather not lose history.

It as simple as changing the name in the Account List (Edit), if I recall (I don't know of any version of Quicken that prevented account name changes ... or even made them difficult). Are you saying you tried and it did not work?
