Year end problem

For the past 7 years {using various versions of Quicken} I have been able to rename my new file year 2xxx etc. This year Q5 will not allow me to change from year 2005 to year2006. I have tried using both year end methods but neither one works. Any help would be appreciated.

When I tried it, I would get an error as soon as I clicked on the file I wanted to rename. Is this what you're talking about?

I got it to work by entering the new name first ('Year2005'), then clicking on the current file name.

Not intuitive, but it got the job done.

Installed Q2005 from CDROM about 4-6 mos ago. OK until download of Release 2-4 in mid-Dec. Now the program will not save automatically new register data, and has been losing the most recent files, I back each data entry session w burn to CD. What's the matter with this 2005 R2-4?? Other posts read via Google Groups suggest major file control problem, anyone else seeing this??
