Accounts switching to online reconciliation

This is driving me mad. For the third time in the recent past, my Well-Fargo account is set to "use online balance". and I *keep* setting it back to "paper balance" and that, of course, doesn't get me to reconcile that go-round and it warns me, but I press on. AND. I've even checked from time to time. I *know* it was set to "paper" a fortnight ago and I just checked [I don't actually have the paper statement yet!] and it is set back to "online". GRRR.. Is there some way the W-F can do that during the transaction download or something? Is there ANY way to prevent it from happening again? [I already know I"m toast for the next reconciliation, but it'd be nice if the April statement worked].

Has anyone heard about a bug that might cause this or some account strangeness?

I've just checked through my backups. On 3/4 the w-f account was set to "paper", but on 3/8 [the next backup I did] it was [mysteriously!] set to "online". Is there any way to tell from the 3/8 backup what might have happened to switch that account over to online?

More info: I checked and I get the w-f paper statements around the 20th of the month and so I wouldn't have done a reconciliation or anything like that when I ran Quicken on the 8th. So what could/might I have done on March 8th to make it flip *just* the w-f checking account over to online?? [the savings account is OK and every other acct is OK]

I suppose one possibility is you restored a data file backup which had the reconcile set to use the online balance.

I use quicken often enough that I can't remember what I did when [actually that's the story of my life.. :o)] But: 3/4 was mid-week so I likely would have done nothing other than have Quicken print a check for me. 3/8 was a sunday and the only thing special about that is that I likely did a "one step update" [I've never loaded a backup [!] except for this week when I was looking for the flip for W-F]. Is it possible that in the w-f update on 3/8 that they switched my quicken over to online reconciliation? Can an update/transaction download possibly do that?
