Any way to achieve prior years in 2006 to help loading speed-
Yes, you can use File>File Operations>Year End Copy
Hi, Nugrub.
First, the word is "archive", not "achieve", which means to accomplish some goal.
Second, yes, you can archive prior years' data, as Fred Smith explained.
Third, the question comes up often here and most of us agree that archiving prior years' data (a) does not speed up operation of Quicken and (b) makes it harder to research financial history.
In short, while backups of prior years' files are strongly recommended, few of us, if any, have found any advantage in removing such data from our current working Quicken files. Yes, you can do it, but, no, it probably will not help loading speed much, if at all.
