Attachment View

Using qkn 08p r6 & Vista Home Premium. As of yesterday I am no longer able to change the size of attachments -- the view option is grayed out & the attachment is huge. This is true of scanned attachments; pdf attachments can no longer be viewed in the attachment window but open in an adobe window that can be reduced as usual. There have been no changes to the computer -- either hardware or software. Any ideas how to fix?

I noticed the same anomaly with PDF files on my old HP dv5000 Q2008 H&B R6, WinXP Pro SP2. I didn't bother fixing it since I no longer used the laptop. But your post prompted me to pull it out of mothballs and trouble-shoot.

Here's a screenshot of the problem you describe with PDF files:

I fixed it by uninstalling Acrobat Reader, and re-installing:

I hope doing the same will take care of your problem. If not, I'd uninstall and reinstall Quicken 2008. Good Luck!

Uninstalling & reinstalling acrobat reader did the trick. Thanks.

Uninstalling & reinstalling Acrobat Reader took care of the pdf part of the problem; HOWEVER, I still have a huge image when I directly scan for the attachment & "view" to change the size is grayed out. I tried deleting the image & re-scanning, making sure the scanner was set on 96 dpi but no joy! Anyone else see this?
